How to Leave a Note
For every live class, teachers must click Start Class in the PLI Connect Meeting Manager before beginning instruction. This applies regardless of the video conferencing platform (VCP) you are using, including:
Zoom
Google Meet
Microsoft Teams
School video system or other district platforms
The Meeting Manager click serves as the official record that your live class has started on time. Please begin to familiarize yourself with using the dashboard and get in the habit of using this check-in method before your classes if you are not currently doing this prior to class.
How to log your attendance in the meeting manager:
After logging into your PLI Connect account, you will be taken to the Teacher Dashboard.
Your current enrolled courses will appear in the Meeting Manager at the top of your dashboard. Simply click Start Course to begin the live session.
📌TIP: If you don't see a class that is scheduled to meet today, use "View All Classes" to see all classes you are enrolled in
Leave Notes When Schedules Are Changed
The note icon to the right of the Cancel button is to leave a note for PLI Administrators of an adjusted schedule, a late start, or if the class was cancelled. Click the carrot drop-down to view course details.
**Important Clarifications**
This applies to all live classes. We understand that some classes change start times daily (for example, rotating schedules). Your classes will show under “all classes”. If your class regularly changes start times, please do your best to click the “Start Class” on the closest matching class in your Meeting Manager.
If you teach full-day elementary classes, you can check in to the first class each day to record your attendance.
If you have a PLC or Planning time, these are being removed from the Meeting Manager so you will not need to check in for those sessions.
Schedule changes must be documented.
If your class schedule changes due to a snow day, delayed opening, altered bell schedule, testing, or other school-directed changes, please add a brief note in Meeting Manager when starting class. Please refer to this article for more information regarding incorrect schedules or schedule changes.
