PLIC: Meeting Manager: Has Incorrect dates, times, school meeting days, or schedule changed

Updated 4/22/2024

Meeting Manager is not accurately displaying when my class meets

There are times where the Meeting Manager might not display accurate information for each of your courses. This could happen for a variety of reasons:

-Meeting time listed wrong

-Meeting time changed

-Meeting time is affected by Daylight Savings changes

-Time Zone is wrong

-Wrong meeting days are indicated

-A Day class listed on an actual B day (or the reverse)

-School weather/snow day

-School holiday that wasn't accounted for

-Extended breaks- Spring Break, Fall Break, Winter Break, other...

In each and every case, if the Meeting Manager is not showing that it is accounting for these variables, it becomes the teacher's responsibility to place a note about the circumstance so that the issue is documented.

When Meeting Manager is fully updated, it will also serve as an accountability tool to make sure teachers are showing up to classes on the right days and at the right times.

How and Where do I report issues?

To record discrepancies in the Meeting Manager for any of the above listed reasons, please use the following steps to document and note the issue you've observed relative to your posted schedule.

Dealing with incorrect dates, times, and/or school days off (including extended breaks like Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break, etc) in PLIC:

How to Leave a Note

1-Login to PLIC
2- Click the Notes icon for the class you need to leave a note about

*Be sure to the correct day to apply your note.  This is especially important for A-Day and B-Day affected courses.

Note- If you can't see the Notes icon, make sure you are in the default "today's classes" view. You'll know you are if the top right button says "View All Classes" because that's the toggle to switch.

Additionally, you must make sure you are sufficiently zoom out enough to see the icon appear.

One of the common struggles is when teacher have their screens zoomed in and the icons get compressed to the point of not being visible.

3- You will see this window appear and that is where you can write/copy/paste the time edits that are needed. When you finish each entry, be sure to click SAVE

If there is a need to report:   -School Days off/Holidays/Weather Days-

What about extended School Breaks that are not already accounted for in PLIC?

Document just like you would for any other discrepancies.

1-Login to PLIC
2- Click the Notes icon for the class you need to leave a note about. This will provided a pop-up window you need to enter a note about the special schedule situation.

For example: "No classes M-F due to Spring Break"

3- Do this for each of the affected classes on the first day of that cycle by copying your original message/note and pasting it into each of the other course Notes fields.

*Please note- if you indicate that the non-meeting days are for a specific period of time, like Monday thru Friday (or some other combination of days), then leaving a note for each of those days is NOT necessary.
