How to Disable or Manage Browser Extensions

Steps by Browser:
 
  • Google Chrome/Chromium Browsers:
    • Click the 3-dot menu (top-right) -> Extensions -> Manage Extensions.
    • Toggle off the blue switch for each extension.
    • Alternatively, type chrome://extensions in the address bar.

 

  • Microsoft Edge:
    • Click the Extensions icon (puzzle piece) near the address bar or the 3-dot menu -> Extensions -> Manage extensions.
    • Toggle off the switch for the desired extension.

 

  • Mozilla Firefox:
    • Click the 3-line menu -> Add-ons and themes (or Ctrl+Shift+A).
    • Click Extensions and toggle off the desired extension.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Tips for Managing Extensions:
  • Remove Permanently: Right-click an extension icon in the toolbar and select Remove from [Browser].
  • Incognito/Private Mode: You can allow or disallow extensions to run in Incognito mode within the extension's details page.
  • Mass Disable: Use specialized, trusted extension managers from the Chrome Web Store to disable all at once if needed.
