Overview
The Student Grades Dashboard provides teachers with a comprehensive summary of student performance across courses, enabling effective monitoring and management of academic success rates throughout the school year.
Dashboard
The “Student Grades Summary” is added to the left navigation menu. When a teacher clicks on the “Student Grades Summary”, a new dashboard will be displayed containing the passing rate data based on the teacher's enrollments. This dashboard tracks students' performance per course on a monthly basis.
Columns Available
The “Student Grades Summary” dashboard contains the following columns:
- Course → includes School name, Subject, & Class period,
- Success Rate → displays passing percentage and color for that month (if data is already entered)
- Total Students → total students for that month
- # Students Passing → total passing count for that month
- Notes → option for special notes or comments about that particular course
Monthly Success Rate
- The success rate for August through June is displayed with one month per column.
- Each column displays success rate in % format.
- Proximity Learning will be using a 60% or higher grade average to determine if a student is passing.
- Teachers are still required to complete the student grade summary regardless of which platform they are using to track to student grades.
If your school "does not require" grades or gives participation grades (elementary, PE, music, etc) - you are still required to report your passing students.
- Each column computes value based on the total passing / total enrolled
- Each month’s success rate displays “Not Available” if # of students passing is not indicated yet.
- Clicking the (+) symbol expanded will show the following:
- <Month> - Total Enrolled Students - display the # students enrolled in class; populated from enrollments (count the actively enrolled students)
- If LMS is PLI Instance of Canvas → student count is auto displayed
- If LMS is Custom → teachers must edit the total enrolled students as well as the # of students passing
- <Month> - # Students Passing - displays the total # of students who passed; inline editing is allowed.
- Notes - allows teachers to add detailed explanations, especially required for months with passing rates below 50%.
- The current month should be expanded by default.
- <Month> - Total Enrolled Students - display the # students enrolled in class; populated from enrollments (count the actively enrolled students)
- Each column displays success rate in % format.
