PLI SPAM Email FAQ

1. What is a SPAM email?

SPAM emails are unsolicited messages, usually sent in bulk, that often include advertising, phishing attempts, or malicious attachments. They may appear to come from legitimate sources but are typically sent without your consent.

2. How do I know if an email is SPAM or a phishing attempt?

Watch for these red flags:

  • Unexpected messages from unknown senders
  • Misspelled names or odd email addresses
  • Urgent requests for personal or financial information
  • Suspicious links or attachments
  • Generic greetings like “Dear user” instead of your name

*When in doubt, don’t click on any links and report it to our Product Team via support ticket.

3. What should I do if I receive a SPAM email?

  • Do not reply or click any links or attachments.
  • Take a screenshot and immediately submit a Help Ticket to our Product Team.
  • Report the message using your email platform’s “Report phishing” or “Mark as SPAM” option.

4. Why do SPAM emails sometimes come from people I know?

Cyber attackers often spoof email addresses to make their messages seem trustworthy. Just because an email says it’s from someone you know doesn’t mean it really is. Always check the actual sender address and look for unusual behavior or language.

5. What happens if I accidentally clicked a link or opened an attachment?

  • Disconnect from the internet immediately.
  • Report the incident to our Product Team via support ticket right away.
  • Do not forward the message to anyone else. Prompt reporting can help prevent further damage or data breaches.

6. How can I reduce the number of SPAM emails I receive?

  • Avoid using your work email to sign up for non-work-related services.
  • Never publish your email address publicly (e.g., websites, social media).
  • Use strong passwords and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Regularly update and patch your devices and email client.

7. Who should I contact if I have questions or concerns about SPAM?

Please submit a Help Ticket if you have questions or concerns about SPAM emails.
