This FAQ will walk you through the AP approval process. Here is a recording for those of you who would prefer it.
- Go to the College Board website (https://www.collegeboard.org/) and create an Educator account (not a Student account). If you already have an account, sign in.
- If you’re creating an account for the first time, fill in Professional Information as shown.
- Choose “AP Central”
- Choose “AP Course Audit”.
- Sign in again.(College Board will ask you to sign in frequently.)
- Enter the following access information.
- Click “Finished”.
8. Click AP / Pre-AP Course Audit
9. Click +Add Course
10. Choose your course from the drop down menu and click “Continue”.
11. Click “Add Course”.
12. The course tile will appear on your dashboard. Click “Complete Course Audit Form”.
13. Click “Agree” to the requirements. Initial and submit at the bottom of the page.
**** You may be asked to choose a textbook. If so, choose one from the list. If you are unsure which textbook to choose, it’s fine to choose a random one. All of the textbooks in the list are pre-approved. Your choice of a textbook will not alter the content of the College Board course in any way.
14. Click “Submit Course Document”.
15. Click “Adopt a Sample Syllabus”.
16. Follow the steps circled. You can choose any syllabus.
17. You’ll receive the email below. Once your course is approved you’ll be given a code to share with your students so they can join.
If you run into difficulties, you can call the College Board and they will assist you in getting set up with your Audit.
