Importing From a Consortium

Below are directions to import the PLI curriculum from a consortium into your Canvas course. Your course settings file storage needs to be at least 500,000 MB before importing. 

 

  1. Go to Canvas Commons
  2. Filter the “shared with” to the consortium you want
  3. Click the content you want (you can use the search bar to help)
  4. Click “Import/Download” (blue button on the side)
  5. Click the course you want to import the content to
  6. Click Import

The content can take several hours to upload. On you hit “Import/Download” do not click on the course until the next day, as it may cause uploading issues

 

Guidelines 

  • Do not import more than 1 full course curriculum into 1 live class
  • The PLI exported content are entire courses, you can only import the entire course in full
  • If you would like to add individual resources or modules, you will need to export them into the consortium, and then import them into your live class
  • If you add a resource to commons for yourself, please delete it immediately after importing it to your live class
  • ⚠️Avoid importing too many items - importing above the storage limit can cause unwanted items to be deleted in your live course
  • If you import an Edynamic course from the consortium, please email CurriculumDepartment@proxlearn.com for access to the resources. Edynamic courses are CTE courses like Marketing, Digital Design, Sales, Fashion, etc
