Now that you know how to duplicate your Lesson Plan Template, let's fill out a new lesson plan!

Weekly PLI Lesson Plans should include the following:

1. Appropriate state standard(s) covered each class (AI can help you convert these, but always do a double check)

2. Unit/lesson info according to School or PLI pacing guides, objectives and essential questions. (Note: These can all be copy and pasted from the original material and you can modify them to suit the needs of your class)

3. Agenda items including: openers, material presented, student work, and exit tickets.

Provide at least 3 to 4 bullet points with links to materials as necessary.

If using the same slide show for opener, direct instruction, and exit ticket, make sure to note which slide each is on, and provide a brief statement of content.

4. Links must be updated for each class. Note: If you have more than one period of the same class, please hold off on this point for now, until you’ve sent it to all classes in the next step.

5. Additional optional elements that you may need to account for and possibly record in your lesson plans:

a) Plans for differentiation

b) Plans for time management

c) Plans for virtual classroom management including establishing relationships

d) Special considerations if doing and activity or project

In addition, we would like to include this example of what each day's entry should contain.

Next, learn how to send the completed lesson plan to all classes with the same content

Ensure you are using the current 2026-2027 Lesson Plan Template for all of your classes.
