Q: What if I miss class with less than 24 hours’ notice?
Short notice absences are unapproved and unpaid unless you provide medical documentation for a medical emergency or a death in the immediate family. Notify subbing and your TLS as soon as possible.
Q: What if my internet goes out?
Internet outages are not an approved reason to miss class, except during major natural disasters (e.g., tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons) and documentation must be provided.
Q: What’s my backup plan (“Plan B”)?
Be prepared to stay connected by:
- Using your phone as a hotspot
- Going to a library or coffee shop with Wi-Fi
- Keeping email access on your phone
If you lose internet and cannot teach, you must immediately notify:
- Subbing Team: subbing@proxlearn.com
- Your TLS
You cannot simply miss a class due to internet issues. Always have a backup plan.
