KickUp is an online platform we use to support and track teacher growth, professional development, and performance. It houses everything from walkthrough feedback and coaching notes to PD assignments and evaluation data—all in one place.
KickUp is primarily used for walkthrough feedback, coaching documentation, and tracking PD. Data can be viewed by teacher, district or school. It may be referenced to show patterns of support and growth if performance concerns arise.
Think of KickUp as your teacher success hub: a tool designed to help you understand your strengths, identify areas to grow, and access meaningful support.
Only those directly responsible for supporting your development: your TLS, possibly a manager or CSS, and—in rare escalation cases—HR. It’s not public and is used only to provide personalized support.
KickUp helps us ensure that:
- Feedback and evaluations are consistent, fair, and evidence-based
- Your professional development is aligned with your real classroom needs
- Coaching and support are documented and provide clear next steps
- We maintain transparency and accountability across all levels of teacher support
KickUp organizes teacher data into several key areas:
- Instructional Quality: Engagement, questioning, rigor, lesson planning, etc.
- Professional Responsibilities: Attendance, communication, LMS use, etc.
- Trends Over Time: You can see how you’ve grown across months.
- PD Completion: View what you've completed and what's upcoming.
How do I get the most of out Kick-Up?
Check It Regularly: Log in periodically to stay on top of feedback and PD.
- Engage With Feedback: Use walkthrough notes and coaching logs to reflect and ask questions. NOTE: Only responses/messages that are in direct response to walkthrough or coaching notes should be sent through KickUp.
- Complete PD courses: These are to support your specific growth and teaching journey.
- Communicate With Your TLS: They’re there to support you, and KickUp helps document that support.
