πŸ” Step 1: Log In to PLI Connect

  1. Open your browser and go to:

  2. Enter your credentials and login to your PLI Connect 2.0 teacher account.
  3. You will land on your Teacher Dashboard. Jobs recommended for you (based on your certifications and previous district experience) will now appear at the top of your page, highlighted in yellow and labeled β€œRecommended.
  4. Click on Open Jobs, find All Open Jobs Tab

  • Search Bar β†’ If too many classes display, you can use the Search Bar to narrow things down and find courses by:

    • District, School, and Subject
  • Filters β†’ Apply Filters to narrow results:

You can apply one or multiple filters to find the best fit.

Filter Description
Subject Bucket Select subject areas (e.g., Math, Science) matching your certification.
Grade Bucket Choose preferred grade levels (e.g., elementary, middle, high school).
Course Type Filter by course category: core subjects, AP, electives, etc.
Live Days Pick courses that match your availability on specific weekdays.
District Focus on courses in specific school districts.
School Narrow down to specific school campuses.
LMS Platform Find courses using familiar Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Google Classroom, etc).
VCP Platform See which video platform is used for live classes (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams, etc).

Note- If you are seeing jobs that you know do not apply to you and your certification details, there is nothing wrong. Use filtering to streamline what is visible to you so that only the courses that fit your particular details display.

πŸ“ Step 4: View More Details to learn more about a course

  • Click on a course listing that you are interested in to view More Details, including:
    • Teacher Requirements β†’ Any needed reciprocity, extra duties, or special qualifications
    • Course Description β†’ Info about the district, school, and instructional format
    • Joint Success Plan -JSP (formerly known as School Profile Document - SPD) β†’ All relevant details specific to that district's needs and requirements

  • Schedule β†’ Exact days/times (including time zones) for live sessions, along with start/ end dates

  • Setup β†’ Outlines what you will use for the School's Requirements for:

    • Β Video Conferencing Platform (VCP) β†’ Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams, other...
    • Learning Management System (LMS) β†’ Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, other...
    • Curriculum Provider β†’ PLI or District
    • Grading System β†’ PLI or DistrictΒ

  • Rates β†’ Compensation is based on key factors to ensure fairness:
    • Course Type β†’ Live and asynchronous courses have different rates.
    • Frequency β†’ Varies by daily, alternating, weekly, or even monthly meetings.
    • Duration Β  Courses over 60 minutes, including monthly sessions, are paid at a higher rate.
    • Customization β†’ Standard courses use PLI curriculum, PLI Canvas, and PLI Zoom. Use of other platforms or materials may increase the rate.
    • Specialization β†’ Courses requiring specific certifications may offer higher pay.
    • NVTA Certification β†’Adds a 5% pay bonus to the per-class rate.

  • Joint Success Plan (JSP) in PDF form (also in More Details)
    • PLI Connect Download option for School and District specific details; outlining specific expectations, procedures, and requirements for your school.
    • Identifies each of the following:
      • Unique curriculum content details
      • LMS
      • VCP
      • Attendance rules
      • Grading policies
      • School Calendars

Step 5: How to Show Interest in an Open Job

  • Click More Details for the desired course.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the details page.
  • Check the box to confirm you've read and understood the information.
  • Click Show Interest -
  • Click Confirm to finalize.

Only express interest in jobs for which you meet all stated requirements.

  • After you click "Show Interest", a pop-up confirmation requirement will appear asking the following:
    • Before expressing interest in this class, please confirm that you have acknowledged the following:

      • You confirm that your subject area, grade level, and state certification align with the requirements for this class.

      • You have reviewed the course details, including schedule, pay rates, policies, and setup requirements (e.g. LMS, VCP).

      • Submitting interest does not guarantee enrollment; your request will be reviewed, and you will be notified only if the class is offered to you. Note: you can monitor your status on the Open Jobs β†’ Interested Classes tab in your dashboard.

    • By clicking β€œConfirm”, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Step 6: Monitor the classes you've shown Interest in

  • Once you Show Interest in a course, it will appear under the All Interested Jobs tab in Open Jobs.
  • You can track the status using the following tags:
    • "Interest Shown" β†’ Pending review (allow up to 48 hours).
    • "No longer available" β†’ Enrollment was filled by another teacher

  • One of two outcomes will result once you've shown interest:

    • Your Interest turns into an Enrollment β†’ You’ll receive an email with confirmation and course details from our Data Team.Β 

      • Additionally, the listing will flip from All Interested Jobs to your Enrollments Tab on your left-hand navigation.Β 

    • "No longer available - Class enrollment has been filled" β†’ The class went to another teacher. Clicking into More Details will give a more specific reason the class is no longer available.

  • Where to Find Your Courses once Enrolled β†’ Go to your Enrollments tab >Active or Future

  • This feature helps you to easily manage your enrollments by using the following statuses:
    • Concluded β†’ Courses that have ended
    • Active β†’ Courses that have started
    • Future β†’ Courses that have not yet started

Step 7: Bookmarking Courses You Have Interest In

  • You can bookmark courses using the icon next to the More Details button.
  • Bookmarking helps you track:
    • If you're Interested in a course but not ready to officially declare interest
    • Want to learn more about a course before officially declaring interest
    • Compare multiple options for schedule fit and preference
    • Track upcoming opportunities that haven't officially opened yet (labeled "Starting Soon")
  • Stay organized by keeping all interested courses in one place
