As a PLI teacher, it's important to have a uniform, professional signature for your emails. This is something you can set up automatically. Google has an in-depth guide if you have further questions, but below you can find PLI-specific instructions on how to do it, along with the templates you should use.
Signature #1
Open Gmail. In the top right, click Settings See all settings.
In the "Signature" section, click + Create new. It'll ask you to name the signature. What you call it doesn't matter, but you do need to identify it. Maybe "Signature 1."
Once it's been created, add your signature text in the text box.
---------------------------- For the first signature, follow the below template ------------------------------
Your Name | PLI Teacher
Phone: Available by Request | Your Email
Proximity Learning, Inc | proxlearn.com
Mission: Connect all learners with the expert teachers they deserve.
The information contained in this communication may contain privileged and confidential information and is intended only for the use of the person(s) named above. If you are not the intended recipient or an employee/agent responsible for delivering this to the intended recipient(s), any review, dissemination, distribution, or duplication of this message is strictly prohibited. If you are not the intended recipient, please contact the sender immediately by email and destroy all copies of the original message and any attachments. All emails sent to or from this address are subject to archival and review by Proximity Learning, Inc. and are therefore subject to disclosure to someone other than the recipient.
------------------------------------------------- End of template -----------------------------------------------
If you find that the logo image does not copy over correctly, you can get around this by taking a screenshot of it and copy and pasting that screenshot instead.
Signature #2
You then need to make a second signature. This is very similar to the previous one. Create it the same way, but name it slightly differently, like "Signature 2".
-------------------------- For the second signature, follow the below template ----------------------------
Your Name | PLI Teacher
Phone: Available by Request | Your Email
Proximity Learning, Inc | proxlearn.com
Mission: Connect all learners with the expert teachers they deserve.
------------------------------------------------- End of template -----------------------------------------------
Finishing Touches
Now that you have both of your signatures created, you need to indicate when they should be used. The first signature you made should be selected under "For New Emails Use," and the second should be selected under "On Reply/Forward Use." Basically, you want the trimmed-down version for your replies.
The option below it decides whether your signature is included directly under your message in replies, or if it comes after the quoted message you're replying to. In general, it's much cleaner to check this on, so we recommend you do.
Once everything is all set, click Save Changes at the bottom. Your signature will now automatically pop up whenever you go to compose an email.
