Who is Proximity?

Proximity Learning livestreams certified teachers into districts in pursuit of greater educational equity. A PROXIMITY Proximity teacher will be teaching this class via Zoom.

BEGINNING CLASS:

  1. Log into Zoom using the ID provided by the regular facilitator and greet the Proximity teacher.
    • The facilitator should have provided a sheet like the one attached to this article that contains the following information:
      • CLASS NAME:
      • CLASS TIME:
      • ZOOM MEETINGID:
      • YOUR PROXIMITY CLIENT SUCCESS CONTACT:
    • If you do not have this information, please contact a campus administrator or have a trustworthy student log into the zoom link for you.
  2. If students typically log in to Zoom individually (class depending)- assist any student who needs help.
  3. It using a classroom speaker, turn it on.

DURING CLASS:

  1. Monitor student engagement and behavior.
  2. Ensure students are using earbuds & cameras it logging in individually.
  3. Keep an eye on the Zoom chat box to assist the teacher as necessary.

ENDING CLASS:

  1. Log off Zoom when the teacher dismisses the class.
  2. Leave notes regarding the class for the facilitator or administration.
