How do I document a Unique Event like a Zoom Intruder?
1- Contact your TLS and CSS via email as soon as possible-the day of is most beneficial for us to get ahead of any potential client issues this could introduce.
2- Leave a note in PLI Connect by clicking the Notes Icon (indicated in Green on the right) for that particular course (can be in View All Classes or in View Today's Classes-whichever fits your need).
*In that note, please include the following:
- a basic description of what happened
- approximately what time during your class you noticed the issue
- what steps you took to control things like removing the student(s) and how quickly you were able to take action, and if your action included removing the student from the meeting immediately
3- Please share that same information (from your note in PLIC using copy/paste) with PLI Support by sending us a PLI Support Ticket. We can then launch an investigation to ascertain as many pertinent details as we can to possibly identify the offender(s).
If you were quick enough to grab a few screenshots of evidence including names, offensive content shared by the offender, and more, please be sure to include that in the Support Ticket.
We want to identify the offender so that situations like this can be prevented from happening again and to attempt to hold the responsible party accountable for their inappropriate actions.
As a teacher, you have enough things to deal with without having to worry about disruptive students impeding your efforts to teach and possibly being offensive to you. We want to do everything we can to support you in addressing this kind of situation.
