Updated August 5, 2024
As mentioned in communications in February and March, all Zoom meetings must be started in PLI Connect. To reflect this new change, there are two key elements that should be understood:
A) You will NOT be able to login to Zoom.us with any credentials and successfully start any PLI Zoom meetings. That access point is NO LONGER VALID.
B) You need to have the Zoom app downloaded to your device, BUT you must NOT be logged into it at any point.
*Attempting to sign in to your app will lead you through a new sign-in/sign-up process that you are unable to complete because our credentials no longer work for that.
You may see mention of a person named Joseph Mouhanna associated with your Zoom account. Please ignore this information. Joseph is the head of our Development Team (think programmers) and his name is attached to most of our Zoom account information.
How Teachers Start Their Zoom Meeting
Meetings must be started in one of two ways, indicated below:
1. Start through the PLI Connect> Meeting Manager Dashboard
- You may start your meeting by logging on to PLI Connect and then referencing steps #5-7 in this article.
- If you see an odd error, please go back to make sure you are not logged into Zoom.us on your browser and are not logged into your desktop app.
2. Start through PLI Connect> Enrollments Tab > More Details (Backup Plan)
- If you are unable to start your meeting from the Meeting Manager, you can access your start link from your Enrollments page then More Details:
